Luke Hatfield reckons that Jed Wallace would be an excellent signing for West Brom.

What is Wallace's current situation?

The Millwall man has established himself as one of the best attackers in the Championship in recent seasons following several outstanding performances for the Lions since their promotion back in 2018.

Wallace scored 10 goals and added seven assists in 45 league appearances for the Londoners last season, and has continued in a similar vain this term, contributing to five goals in six games, including the assist for Dan Ballard's equaliser against the Baggies on Saturday and a stunning free-kick in the victory over Blackpool before the international break.

According to Football League World, West Brom are amongst a host of second-tier sides interested in signing Wallace, who could be available on the cheap, with his Millwall deal running out in 2022.

Hatfield reckons there's every chance that Wallace's contract situation will lead to him leaving Millwall in January, and told GIVEMESPORT that he would be a top signing for West Brom:

"He would be a fantastic addition because on his day he's one of the best players in the Championship. He's eyeing the upper reaches of the Championship or the Premier League himself.

"And he's right to do that but he's shown performances, no disrespect to Millwall, but they are above their level, so, for them, they will be looking to get a fee. And I think they will get that if he was to leave in January."

Is Wallace good enough to play for West Brom?

Absolutely. Wallace has been producing impressive numbers in terms of both goals and assists season after season, and that's playing in a Millwall side that don't score often.

How much did Fulham pay for Aleksandar Mitrovic?

So, in a West Brom outfit alongside some top Championship strikers in Karlan Grant and Jordan Hugill, plus the likes of Alex Mowatt and Matt Phillips in midfield, a switch to the Hawthorns could take Wallace's game to the next level and would give him every chance of achieving his dream of playing in the Premier League.
