Fresh twist in Reds pursuit of £20m Brazilian - reports

Inter Milan are reportedly planning a January swoop for Liverpool target Lucas.

According to talkSPORT, Inter a keen to bring the £20 million-rated Sao Paulo midfielder to the San Siro, while the Reds have shown an interest in the 19-year-old.

Inter are alleged to be planning the addition of Lucas alongside the signing of compatriot Casemiro and Borussia Dortmund sensation Mario Gotze.

The latter has also been linked with Liverpool in recent weeks, with Kenny Dalglish said to be keen to bring the 19-year-old to Anfield in the New Year.


Gotze is regarded as one of the finest young talents currently operating in European football, and has also been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United.

Meanwhile, another teenager reported to be on the Liverpool radar is Leicester forward Jeffrey Schlupp.

The 18-year-old German has scored five times in nine appearances for the Foxes this season and, along with Liverpool, is also attracting interest from Newcastle.
