Over the years, the Japanese gaming developers have frequently brought out mobile versions of the game to go hand-in-hand with the console editions.
Fans of the handheld series spoke out at great length about their disappointment with PES 2021 Mobile, the last release on iOS and Andriod, which gamers criticised the lack of variation from the year before (via Reddit).
That being said, with the makeover that Konami has given to the hugely successful franchise, it could be a very different story as far as console versions are concerned.
As a result, this has attracted questions regarding the mobile game and if it will be continued this year, or shelved.
eFootball 2022 Mobile
The great news is that, yes, eFootball will be coming to mobile this year. However, it won't be arriving as a new game, but instead will be patched over PES 2021.
This is something that we've seen with other games in the same sector such as Dream League Soccer - which carries over each year with updated graphics.
Any players that currently have PES 2021 downloaded will receive a prompt by their provider that an update and the migration to eFootball will take place. Gamers will not need to do anything else.
Micro-transactions are highly likely to be included to make up the cost and to give players the opportunity to improve their squads at a faster rate.
That being said, we doubt that this will deter players as they aim to have the best team in eFootball.
