Pundit David Norris has claimed that Daniel James' debut performance was the only positive for Leeds United in their defeat against Liverpool on Sunday.
What happened in Leeds' clash with Liverpool?
Roared on by a full house at Elland Road, Leeds were looking for their first league win of the season against the Reds but were ultimately outclassed as they suffered a 3-0 loss.
Goals from Mohamed Salah, Fabinho and Sadio Mane ensured that Liverpool picked up a comfortable win, although the game was overshadowed by teenager Harvey Elliott dislocating his ankle following a challenge from Pascal Struijk.
James came off the bench shortly after Elliott was stretchered off, and delivered an assured display, completing 90% of his passes (via WhoScored).
What did Norris say about James?
Norris admitted that James was introduced to the action at a far from ideal moment following Elliott's injury, but felt that the 25-cap international handled himself well, and made a positive first impression.
He told GIVEMESPORT: “A difficult game to come on in. Obviously, the game was a struggle as it was, the game was lost as it was and then that incident happens, and would have changed the whole feel of the game. I thought he showed bits, he was willing. I think it was a shame he probably didn’t get a big longer but overall of the whole game, I probably think that was possibly the only bright spot that they got him on the pitch and it looks like he’s going to be a good signing.”

Could James get his first start soon?
The 23-year-old won't have come to Leeds to sit on the bench.
It made sense that he started Sunday's game as a substitute, with Marcelo Bielsa opting to ease him into the side with a cameo appearance, and instead putting his faith in the wide players that he has worked with for a while, Raphinha and Jack Harrison.
However, Leeds are without a win in the league so far this season, and they have netted just four times in their opening four matches. Indeed, they struggled to lay a glove on Liverpool for much of Sunday's contest, and could have lost by an even wider margin, but for some wasteful finishing by the visitors.
Bielsa may need to consider tinkering with his starting line-up for their next game, and that could mean that James gets to play from the start when Leeds take on Newcastle at St James' Park on Friday night.
