Following an altercation at the MTV Video Music Awards this past weekend between UFC star Conor McGregor and platinum selling artist Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), the Irishman has now taken the beef to the internet. The rapper is currently dating Megan Fox, and on the red carpet at Sunday’s awards show, the former UFC lightweight champion launched his drink towards MGK and Fox, which then catalyzed a bit of a scuffle. Both celebrities had to be separated by security in a video that has since gone viral. To spice things up, McGregor has gone ahead and liked a Twitter video posted by @TheUFCStats, which showed Fox cheering on McGregor during one of his walkouts. The video was captioned “Your girl's favourite fighter,” an obvious shot at MGK.In an interview with Entertainment Tonight moments after the red carpet incident, McGregor claimed to not know who MGK was, but knew he was dating Fox:p1ffibi4r11enk1o1v8mu1gm5tvub.jpgEnter Giveaway"Nothing happened with me, I only fight real fighters. People that actually fight," he said."I certainly don't fight little Vanilla Ice white rappers. I don't even know the guy."I don't know anything about him, except that he's with Megan Fox."Other parties have also gotten involved online, including Jorge Masvidal, who wants Triller to set up a fight between McGregor and MGK.

The 36-year-old took to Twitter and said: “"Yo @triller set this up. In a five rounder I got my money on @machinegunkelly #supernecessary."

McGregor is on the road to recovery after sustaining a nasty injury during his latest bout with Dustin Poirier just over two months ago. According to Dana White, The Notorious may not return to action until summer 2022.

There have been some bizarre Twitter-made matchups in the world of boxing, and McGregor v. MGK is one that will likely never, ever happen.
