Journalist Paul Brown reckons Everton's 3-1 victory over Burnley on Monday night was their most impressive win under Rafael Benitez.

What happened against Burnley?

The Toffees came into the game with the Clarets looking to collect a third victory in fourth games and move level on points with Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table.

However, Ben Mee's thumping header early in the second-half left Everton staring down the barrel at their first defeat under Benitez.

But Everton are made of sterner stuff under the Spaniard, and repeated their opening day win against Southampton by coming from behind to claim a 3-1 success.

In a crazy 379-second period, Benitez's side struck three times to turn the game on its head.

Firstly, Michael Keane restored parity at Goodison Park before Andros Townsend scored his first Everton goal in spectacular fashion and then Demarai Gray continued his excellent goalscoring form by scoring the Toffees' third.

What did Brown say about the result?

Given that Benitez made a game-changing tactical switch moments after Keane had equalised, Brown described it as the 61-year-old's best day of his Everton reign.

He told GIVEMESPORT: "I do think that game was probably his most impressive win. They played two different systems they haven't played before this season, so he was trying to show he's got more than one string to his bow."

Was it Everton's best result of the season?

Easily. The win against Southampton was a fine comeback, but the Saints have had a fragile defence in recent months and rolled over once Everton levelled.

Winning at Brighton is no easy task, but scoring three times in just six minutes against a Burnley side that are renowned for their defensive qualities and solidarity at the back, is mighty impressive, especially given Everton's wretched recent record when conceding first.

Everton's fixture list will obviously get harder, but 10 points from a possible 12 represents a great start under Benitez.
