Michael Bisping exclusive: Anderson Silva was 'the toughest fight' of my career

Michael Bisping reveals toughest fight of his career was against Anderson Silva, not Dan Henderson.

UFC legend Michael Bisping has revealed the toughest fight of his career was not his famous defeat to Dan Henderson.

'The Count' instead claims his incredible comeback win over Anderson Silva in 2016 was the sternest test of his legendary MMA career.

Bisping was knocked down at the end of the third round by the Brazilian before dusting himself down and picking himself back up off the canvas to win by unanimous decision.

'I used to be a good looking guy back in the day'

"Obviously I got knocked out cold against Dan Henderson, but that wasn't the toughest fight because I just got clipped and you go to sleep and you don't know anything about it," Bisping told GIVEMESPORT.

"The Anderson Silva fight in London, that was a pretty tough one.

"I had to dig deep there, the fight was going well, and I got kneed in the face in the third round.

"I was almost out there, so that was a tough one, obviously been a lot of tough fights over the years.

"I used to be a good looking guy back in the day, believe it or not, but now I'm covered in scars and things like that and I only have one eye, yeah, not quite so much.

"Many, many tough fights, but the first one that springs to mind, yeah, probably Anderson Silva."

'I think Jiri Prochazka is championship material'

Bisping, 40, has also tipped Jiří Procházka for the very top.

Procházka (25-3-1) is managed by Paradigm Sports, the same agency that also represents Bisping, Israel Adesanya and Conor McGregor

Fighting out of Brno, Czech Republic, the former Rizin light heavyweight champion was last seen starching two-time UFC title challenger Dominick Reyes with an elbow from hell at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on May 1.

And Bisping believes it's only a matter of time before he gets his hands on the belt.

"Here's a good name for you, Jiri Prochazka," he added.

"I think Jiri Prochazka is championship material, I think he will be the champ one day.

"I'm completely obsessed with that guy, the way that he fights, and he's such an interesting personality.

"But he turned down the UFC contract first of all because he thought he wasn't ready."
