Former WWE Superstar and IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Christian Cage took a shot at WWE NXT and Adam Cole on last night's episode of AEW Dynamite.

Cole would challenge Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus and Cage to a trios match next week on AEW Rampage with himself and The Young Bucks; which Cage accepted in a backstage segment.

Whilst accepting the match, Cage would rip into Cole and his former place of work, WWE's NXT brand on USA Network.https://www.givemesport.com/1753926-cm-punk-match-announced-for-aew-rampage-next-week

Cage would take a verbal jab at WWE for 'losing' the Wednesday Night War, and NXT itself for being 'developmental' in the WWE system.

“I’m just thinking here but I don’t know, Adam does have some pretty good friends, you know what I mean? The Super Elite, they used their EVP status to throw him a lifeline and drag his sorry a** out of developmental. Here’s the thing, Adam, we accept your challenge. And you know what? Since you’re used to losing the Wednesday Night Wars, you better add Friday to that list as well.”

Cole was successful in his first-ever AEW match this week, defeating Frankie Kazarian in the opening match of AEW Dynamite on TNT Network.
