Robert Lewandowski scored for the 18th consecutive Bayern Munich match in midweek as he helped his side beat Barcelona 3-0.
Let’s just say that again: EIGHTEEN MATCHES IN A ROW.
That is, quite frankly, ridiculous.
But it’s what we’ve come to expect from the Polish striker.
This season, he’s scored 10 goals in six matches. Last season, he notched 48 in 40 appearances. The previous campaign, he scored a ridiculous 55 goals in 47.
What we’re trying to say is that Lewandowski is an incredible goalscorer and laughs at a ratio of one goal per game.
And thanks to his incredible form in recent years, Lewa has now become the 10th greatest goalscorer in football history. That’s not a bad achievement, is it?
Football journalist, Tancredi Palmeri, who keeps track of the most officials goals ever scored, revealed on Thursday that Lewandowski has moved in the top 10.

What’s worrying for defences around Europe is that he doesn’t plan on retiring anytime soon.
“I’m in good shape physically and have the right mentality," Lewandowski insisted. "I can play for many more years, I’m sure at least four more years. And then I will see, maybe I can raise the bar even more.
“This summer I had the best results in my career. If I was 27 a year ago, I am now either 25 or 26. My stats are better than ever. And it’s not just about fitness. After a four-week break, I had a better base before. preparation than ever before. 33 years is only a number and does not show how old I am really, “

Well, Palmeri has actually revealed the top 14 goalscorers in football history. Take a look at the list below:

Absolutely nobody will be surprised to see Cristiano Ronaldo in the No.1 spot with 787 goals having surpassed Pele last season. He looks set to exceed the 800 goal tally while at Manchester United this season considering the start he’s made back at Old Trafford.
However, Lionel Messi, who is two years his junior, is third and within touching distance. It really will be interesting to see who finishes their career with the most goals. We can’t imagine either of them wanting to retire while the other is still playing…
The next five players in the list are all legends of the game but retired many years ago.
Romario - who probably leads the list when it comes to unofficial goals - is in fourth, while German Gerd Muller completes the top five with 720 strikes.
Hungarian Ferenc Puskás is in sixth, followed by a player many believed had scored the most goals in history - Josef Bican. Turns out the Austrian-Czech only has 636 official goals, according to Palmeri. Eusebio is in ninth.
There’s a gap of 51 goals until the next player, AC striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Meanwhile, Lewandowski is just a hat-trick behind the Swede in tenth.
