WWE has announced that a member of the Monday Night Raw roster has suffered a broken rib and is going to be out of action for the foreseeable future. With a post on social media in the late hours of Thursday evening, WWE confirmed that MVP had broken one of his ribs on Raw, with the manager set to be out for an indefinite period of time. The injury came after Randy Orton hit MVP with an RKO on the outside of the ring during his WWE Championship match with Bobby Lashley on the broadcast.

MVP and Bobby Lashley were set to challenge Randy Orton and Riddle for the Raw Tag Team Championship over the coming weeks, but that match is likely now off with MVP's injury.

MVP commented on the news, saying that while he's out injured, he may also look at fixing his knee, suggesting that the former United States Champion may be taking some time away from TV.

For those that didn't catch Monday Night Raw, the show was main evented by a WWE Championship match between Bobby Lashley and Randy Orton, with the former retaining his title.

After the match, Big E then cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase and pin Bobby Lashley to become the WWE Champion for the first time in his career.
