We have seen several mainstays within WWE like Daniel Bryan, Christian and Chris Jericho go on to wrestle for other promotions in the last few years, but John Cena won't be following in their footsteps.

John Cena returned to WWE at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view on July 18, confronting Universal Champion Roman Reigns following the show's main event.

Cena has not been seen on WWE TV since SummerSlam on August 21, but the Hollywood star did wrestle a dark match for the live crowd at Madison Square Garden after SmackDown last week.

After the show, John Cena teamed with Rey and Dominik Mysterio to take on Roman Reigns and The Usos in what was an incredibly entertaining six-man tag team match.

Speaking of Roman Reigns, WWE announced last night that the Universal Champion will go one-on-one with Brock Lesnar for the fifth time at Crown Jewel on October 21.

You can watch Crown Jewel live on Peacock in the US on October 21, or elsewhere in all other international markets on the R
