Jose Mourinho has been urged by Zinedine Zidane to sign Eden Hazard as soon as possible, Metro claims, as transfer speculation around the winger continues to reach boiling point.

Arsene Wenger has long been targeting Hazard, though the Frenchman reportedly believed that Hazard’s £20 million price tag was too high over the summer.

And while Arsenal moved to sign alternative players instead, Liverpool are said to be keeping tabs on the star. Kenny Dalglish is still looking to bolster his squad to one capable of competing in the Champions League, and the Reds manager is hopeful that in January a deal can be struck.

But Zidane has reportedly told Mourinho that he simply must take Hazard on board at the Spanish club, and he needs to act quickly to fend off interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.

While Arsenal thought Hazard to expensive in the last transfer window, when the next one rolls around Wenger may be forced to spend big after the Gunners continue their disappointing form.

Both Arsenal and Real Madrid would appear to be ahead of Liverpool in the race for the Belgium international, with both clubs able to offer Champions League football.
