Newcastle 1-1 Leeds United was one of the best games of the 2021/22 Premier League season so far.
The two sides are yet to muster a victory in the English top-flight this campaign, which resulted in both playing with the handbrake firmly off at St James' Park.
Leeds took the lead early in the first half through their main man Raphinha, the Brazilian winger's teasing cross eventually ending up in the back of the net after a clever dummy in the box by Rodrigo Moreno.
Many thought that strike would lead to a Newcastle collapse in front of their home fans, but they fought back well and equalised just before the break thanks to Allan Saint-Maximin.
The Magpies' talisman danced past a number of Leeds defenders inside the penalty area and then emphatically fired the ball past Illan Meslier to make it 1-1 on the night.
Neither side could find a winner in the second half, despite the fact they mustered 38 shots on goal between them throughout the game.
A draw was probably a fair result in the end, although Leeds fans have every right to feel a tad annoyed after they were denied a blatant penalty in the opening quarter of the match.
Summer signing Daniel James was upended in the penalty area by Joe Willock, but referee Mike Dean deemed that the tackle on the former Manchester United man was fair.
Replays showed it certainly wasn't, however, VAR didn't intervene to correctly award a spot kick to Marcelo Bielsa's side.

Willock was absolutely nowhere near the ball and made clear contact with James, which resulted in the Welsh winger being left in a heap on the turf.
Of course, we don't want VAR stepping in all the time during a game, but the technology simply had to be used to overturn Dean's decision on Friday evening.
