Every year on FIFA since the Ultimate Team game mode was first introduced way back in 2009, there are players cards that send a shiver down spines. They're not always necessarily the highest-rated footballers on the game either.Instead, they're players that are often labelled 'overpowered', due to the fact that they possess some seriously eye-catching stats. On FIFA 22, there are a significant numbers of player cards that meet the criteria for that label and we've decided to select what we believe are the 11 scariest looking. To make things a lot more interesting, we’re only focusing on cards rated 87 or lower on the game. So, let’s begin…GMS GiveawayENTER GIVEAWAYLeon Goretzka (Bayern Munich) - 87 overallGoretzka on FIFA 22A gold base card with 80+ in all six categories? That's absolutely outrageous and will almost certainly result in the German maestro being one of the most popular midfielders on FIFA 22. Good luck trying to stop him...Marquinhos (Paris Saint-Germain) - 87 overallMarquinhos on FIFA 22The Brazilian's superb form in real-life has seen him rewarded with his first monstrous base card on FIFA. Any centre-back with 80+ pace is a terrifying prospect and when you combine that with Marquinhos' other magnificent stats, you've got a serious Ultimate Team card on your hands.Marcos Llorente (Atletico Madrid) - 86 overallLlorente on FIFA 22For the sake of the game, no central midfielder should have a pace rating of 88. However, the folks over at EA Sports have deemed Llorente worthy of a speed value befitting of an elite winger, which will no doubt result in broken controllers across the world.Raphael Varane (Manchester United) - 86 overallVarane on FIFA 22Premier League teams are usually the go-to for FIFA lovers and United's signing of Varane in the summer makes that even more of a problem. The guy has everything you could want in a centre-back and people really are going to be sick of the sight of him.Milan Skriniar (Inter Milan) - 86 overallSkriniar on FIFA 22We don't know why Skriniar's pace has been upgraded from 69 to 80, but we do know it makes him a certified beast on FIFA 22. On face value, it's hard to pinpoint a single weakness on the Slovakian's card. Well, unless you try and play him as a striker...Achraf Hakimi (Paris Saint-Germain) - 85 overallHakimi on FIFA 22Now, if you seen Hakimi paired up with Marquinhos on the right-hand side of defence in the loading screen, we advise you to just quit the game. The lightning-quick Moroccan is certainly going to be one of the full-backs of choice on FIFA 22.Theo Hernandez (AC Milan) - 84 overallHernandez on FIFA 22Hernandez was pretty handy on FIFA 21. However, he is going to be almost unstoppable this time around. Every single one of his base stats is over 70 and his speed will see the Frenchman make the majority of wingers look like slouches.Franck Kessie (AC Milan) - 84 overallKessie on FIFA 22What a card that is. It's not quite Goretzka or Llorente, but Kessie is certainly a player that fits into the 'beast' category on FIFA 22. A triangle featuring the Ivorian, Hernandez and Skriniar is something we do not want to face on a regular basis, that's for sure.Ferland Mendy (Real Madrid) - 83 overallMendy on FIFA 22The last two editions of FIFA have resulted in Mendy becoming something of an in-game legend and that looks set to continue. Like the rest of the defenders on this list, the Frenchman is absolutely rapid and will devour right-wingers for fun.Donyell Malen (Borussia Dortmund) - 80 overallMalen on FIFA 22Anyone else getting serious Seydou Doumbia on FIFA 15 vibes from this card? Because we certainly are. What makes Malen's card even scarier is the fact he'll be relatively cheap and thus far more gettable than those above.Maxence Lacroix (Wolfsburg) - 79 overall

Champions League 2021/22: Fixtures, Draw, Results, Odds, Scores And Everything You Need To Know

Okay, we might have saved the best for last here. A decent centre-back with a pace rating of 88? That's just obscene to be honest. Even the quickest and best strikers on FIFA 22 are going to be thwarted with ease by the Usain Bolt of defenders.
