WWE Superstar Finn Balor recently discussed the potential of the Demon King and John Cena locking horns once again, but this time at WrestleMania.

Balor was originally set to face Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam; however, Baron Corbin attacked the former NXT Champion before he could sign the contract to make the match official on the WWE SmackDown show before the PPV.

Cena would then appear and put his own name on the contract, making the huge rematch between the 16-time World Champion and the Head of The Table, Reigns.

Speaking to Liam Llewellyn of The Mirror, Balor would again bring up the SummerSlam main event that he missed out on, in storyline, due to Cena:

“I can’t think of a better place to face John Cena than at WrestleMania. I’ve got a bone to pick with John, the SummerSlam main event was mine, my name was printed on the contract, however, John signed it. There’s certainly an issue that needs to be settled between me and John and if we can do that at WrestleMania all the better.”

Balor would also restate his intentions of winning the WWE Universal Championship when he faces Reigns at the upcoming WWE Extreme Rules 2021 PPV event:

“The thing I have learnt the most is five years ago I needed WWE and I needed to be champion, I needed to win. Now I don’t need WWE, I don’t need to be champion, I don’t need to win but I want to fight and I want to fight for not only the people who believed in me along the way, but for all the people who didn’t believe in me along the way. Even after all my success on the independent wrestling scene, people told me ‘you’re not good enough to be a WWE champion, you’re not what they’re looking for.’ I want to prove all those people wrong and I’m coming after Roman Reigns and the Universal title.”

In the second episode of the revamped Turnbuckle Talk podcast, Louis Dangoor and special guest Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful talk about the biggest news in professional wrestling, including Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole's AEW debuts, the health of Triple H, Kevin Owens potentially leaving WWE and more.
