The wait for FIFA 22 is nearly over.
EA Sports have been building hype for the game in the past week by releasing the ratings of some of the best players in the world.
Standing above all once again is Paris Saint-Germain forward, Lionel Messi.
The Argentine is the best player in the game with a rating of 93.
Robert Lewandowski is second with a rating of 92, while Cristiano Ronaldo drops to third with a rating of 91.
Messi’s overall rating is two points higher than his eternal rival Ronaldo, but how do their in-game stats compare?

So Messi narrowly edges out Ronaldo when it comes to the more complete player on FIFA 22.
The PSG man comes out on top when for the majority of their technical stats, including in dribbling and ball control.
While Ronaldo, despite being two years older, prevails in the majority of physical attributes including sprint speed, strength and jumping.
Despite losing out to his rival in both overall rating and in the in-game stats, Ronaldo has at least closed the gap in the latter, having lost 18-11 on FIFA 21.
