Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge reckons that Pierluigi Gollini will solve some of Tottenham's goalkeeping problems in recent seasons.
What has happened in recent years?
Hugo Lloris has been Tottenham's first-choice goalkeeper since arriving from Lyon more than nine years ago.
However, the Frenchman has never quite had an adequate back-up during his time in north London, and when he's injured or not in the team, there's often a worry that whoever deputises him could make a mistake.
Paulo Gazzaniga, Michael Vorm and Joe Hart have provided cover for most of Lloris' spell with Spurs, but none of which have even gone close to dislodging the World Cup winner – mostly playing in the domestic cups or against lesser European sides.
That could soon change following Gollini's arrival. The 26-year-old has been Atalanta's number one for three years and is no doubt hoping to eventually become Lloris' long-term successor, with less than 12 months on his contract.
And Bridge reckons that signing Gollini, who's earning £1.3m per-year in north London, is a huge relief for Nuno Espirito Santo after some difficulties in years gone by.

He told GIVEMESPORT: "I think the problem that Spurs have had over the last few years is that Paulo Gazzaniga and Michel Vorm were not number ones.

"This is where I used to criticise Mauricio, playing Vorm in cup games, I'm thinking, why? He's not as good as Lloris. I'm thinking Manchester United semi-final in 2018, he got nowhere near both goals. Would we have got to the FA Cup final if Lloris was in goal?
"And then we had Joe Hart, great servant, he looked like he loved his time there and who wouldn't."
How has Gollini performed so far?
It's been a tricky start to his Tottenham career. And whilst he might not have even made his domestic debut just yet, in the Europa Conference League, it's been far from straightforward.
Despite coming up against teams Spurs should be beating comfortably, Gollini has won just one of his three matches, keeping only one clean sheet in the process.
He's hardly been tested as of yet – although he should have done far better for Rennes' second goal last week – but that could change if he makes his domestic debut against Wolves in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, especially if Tottenham's recent trip to Molineux is anything to go by.
