Presenter Joe Wainman has suggested that Leeds could try to sign Club Brugge winger Noa Lang again in the future.

What did Wainman say about Lang potentially joining Leeds?

Lang was constantly linked with a move to Elland Road throughout the recent transfer window, but ended up staying in Belgium.

Wainman has claimed that Leeds may go back in for the 22-year-old at some point, but has stated that the final decision will rest with Marcelo Bielsa.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “Maybe Noa Lang could be revisited at some point. It all depends on Bielsa. I know Victor Orta’s a huge fan of his.”

How has Lang started this season so far?

Lang has been at the top of his game so far this term, netting three goals and providing four assists in eight league appearances

He has also shown his class on the European stage, as he upstaged the likes of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe in the Champions League last week. According to SofaScore, he completed 5/7 successful dribbles against PSG, as he caused the French giants all kinds of problems.

The tricky attacker managed six shots on goal - more than any other player on the pitch - as Brugge picked up a shock 1-1 draw against Mauricio Pochettino's men. Lang's efforts did not go unnoticed as he was handed the man-of-the-match award after the game.

Should Leeds make another push to sign Lang?

Lang's statistics this season indicate that he is only getting better, and it seems that it is only a matter of time before he gets a transfer to a major European league. Leeds may want to make their move sooner rather than later or they will be at risk of being beaten to his signature by a rival club.

Then again, it could be argued that Leeds should be focused on strengthening other areas of their team before adding another winger to their ranks. The Yorkshire-based club now have Daniel James on their books, and with Bielsa already able to call upon Raphinha and Jack Harrison, they seem to be well-covered out wide.

Meanwhile, they have failed to keep a single clean sheet in the league this season, highlighting how they could benefit from defensive reinforcements, and they did not manage to bolster their midfield in the summer.

With this in mind, Bielsa may feel that he needs to address the weaknesses in his squad prior to even considering trying to sign Lang again.
