Now is just not a great time to be Barcelona inclined. The Spanish superpower finds itself in the middle of a rather hairy storm as it continues to reel from the departure of star forward Lionel Messi. The Argentinean maestro was forced out of the club after they were unable to register him under a new contract, leaving Messi with no choice but to move to pastures new.Not only is the club riddled with debt, but it is almost as if it is at war with itself.Fans are booing crying players for what they believe was a refusal to take a pay cut over the summer, manager Ronald Koeman is taking pot-shots at the hierarchy and the on-pitch performances are underwhelming to say the least. After a chastening 3-0 loss to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League, the Catalans followed it up with a smash and grab draw against Granada last night - snatching an equaliser in the 90th minute.p1fg3l0qka1f0o1n846de1lob125hb.jpgEnter GiveawayThey were behind as early as the second minute and struggled to create the sort of chances they needed to haul themselves back into the game. While they enjoyed the lions' share of possession - 76% of it, in fact - and completed over 600 passes, they just couldn't crack the code to get passed a stubborn Granada defence. You just knew it was going to take something special to get the job done, and, if there is anyone capable of the sublime in this Barcelona squad, it's Memphis Depay.

Sadly, however, even he was unable to rally the troops and take the game by the scruff of the neck.

He certainly tried, but if there was anything to sum up the current state of Barcelona at the moment, it would be the bicycle kick Depay made a complete hash of early in the second half.

He simply got up way too early and was already on his way down by the time the ball arrived and it harmlessly glanced off his studs.

Depay has a history of spannering overheads as was shown by the moment he left Wayne Rooney and his son giggling on the bench following a similarly failed attempt at Manchester United.

Koeman's non-plussed reaction on the sidelines said it all as a simple frown and shrug of the shoulders was all he could muster.

The draw means that Barcelona now find themselves down in seventh on the La Liga table - five points behind El Classico rivals Real Madrid in first.

With the club in turmoil, it certainly does look like things are going to get a whole lot worse before they start to get better.
