Big spending Russian club Anzhi Makhachkal are chasing Neymar, with caretaking manager Roberto Carlos revealing they can pay whatever transfer fee is necessary to bring the Brazilian to eastern Europe.

Neymar has starred for both Santos and the Brazil national side, and at just 19-years-old, the starlet is hot property for clubs in Italy, Spain and England.

And while Chelsea were thought to be front runners in England to secure Neymar, Anzhi haven’t even mentioned their name as a possibility to land the youngster.

"Neymar? I talked to him. If Real, Barca or Man[chester] United cannot pay the transfer fee, we will pay it. Suleyman Kerimov can offer what he wants,” Carlos said.

United haven’t been connected to Neymar as yet, with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich reportedly making clear that he would pay whatever transfer fee necessary to snare Neymar from other big-spending clubs Barcelona and Real Madrid.

While Neymar has continually insisted that he is happy in Brazil, rumours will no doubt heat up around January, with clubs such as Chelsea and Madrid stepping up their pursuit of the wonderkid.
