Speed has been - and always will be - the key to success on FIFA.

If you possess a team full of footballers with blistering pace, there's a significant chance that you will succeed on EA Sports' famous franchise.

On FIFA 22, the topic of player speed has been hotly debated ever since individual ratings first started being released around a week ago.

The reason why is because a high number of defenders on the upcoming game possess pace values that are befitting of a lightning-quick striker.

And in the Bundesliga, that is the case more than any other division on the game.

That's because two centre-backs in the German top-flight have been handed pace ratings that you expect to see on the card of a small, tricky winger.

The two men in question are Jeremiah St. Juste of Mainz and Wolfsburg's Maxence Lacroix, two defenders who the average football fan will likely know little about.

But they're set to become virtual legends on FIFA 22, with both players' pace rating on the game valued at 88 or higher.

Take a look at their terrifying Ultimate Team cards below...

Those two are going to gobble up strikers for breakfast, aren't they?

St. Juste's pace rating of 91 - with 87 acceleration and 94 sprint speed - is absolutely obscene and it makes him one of the fastest centre-backs in FIFA history.

Good luck trying to get past him...

Lacroix isn't far behind his fellow Bundesliga defender either, the Frenchman's overall pace rating of 88, 81 acceleration and 93 sprint speed making him a certified in-game beast.

As well as the two speedsters above, the German top-flight is home to the fastest left-back on FIFA 22 in the form of Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies (96 pace overall).

The Bundesliga might just be the go-to division for Ultimate Team players when the game is officially released on September 26th.
