Becky Lynch has spoken about being "grateful" for how things turned out during her run with WWE in 2018-19, including how it's a "blessing in disguise" that she didn't face Ronda Rousey in 2018.

Becky Lynch was slated to face Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series in 2018, but 'The Man' was ruled out of the match after an errant punch from Nia Jax left her with a broken nose.

The spot ended with Becky Lynch running into the crowd with blood pouring from her face, which many think was the beginning of the Irishwoman's ascent up the WWE card.

Speaking to GiveMeSport at the WWE press junket this week, Lynch said that it was actually a "blessing in disguise" that the match didn't happen with Ronda Rousey in November 2018.

Lynch said that she doesn't know how her career would have panned out if she did face Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series, having the following to say on the matter:

Gosh, I think that in retrospect, I need to buy Nia Jax a bouquet of flowers because I think i think without that image, you know, myself covered in blood on top of the stands with my arms out, like my career, it may not have gotten to the place that it's gotten now, you know? So yeah, 100% it was a blessing in disguise. I don't know what would have happened otherwise. We would have had our match, I probably would have won. Who knows? Who knows what would have happened?. It's so hard to tell, but I am very grateful for everything that happened along the way.

Becky Lynch also told GiveMeSport that she informed Asuka she was pregnant before their segment on WWE Raw last year, which you can read more about by clicking here.
