British tennis sensation Emma Raducanu has been named as the newest brand ambassador of Tiffany & Co.
The 18-year-old has been catapulted into the limelight recently after becoming the first qualifier to ever win a Grand Slam at this year’s US Open.
Less than two weeks on from this victory, Raducanu has already attended the renowned Met Gala and a dinner hosted by British Vogue and Tiffany to celebrate London Fashion Week.
Raducanu’s appointment was announced at the dinner, which took place at the Londoner Hotel in Leicester Square on Monday.
Having worn a pair of £4,500 diamond and pearl earrings from the brand on-court in New York, it is no surprise to see the retailer linking up with the Grand Slam champion.
Speaking to Vogue about her newest endorsement deal, Raducanu said: “It’s such an iconic brand and one that I’ve felt connected to for quite some time. I wore the ring, bracelet, earrings and cross necklace throughout the [US Open] tournament. These pieces will always be very special to me.”
The Brit joins a number of A-list celebrity Tiffany ambassadors, including Tracee Ellis Ross, Beyonce and Jay-Z.
Announcing the news on her Instagram, Raducanu wrote: “Very excited to join the iconic @tiffanyandco family as a House Ambassador. Being able to wear these special jewellery pieces over the past few weeks has been an honour!”
With over two million followers on Instagram now, the Brit is now the fifth most-followed active tennis player after Serena Williams, Naomi Osaka, Eugenie Bochard and Sania Mirza.
Williams leads the way with more than 13 million followers, while six-time Grand Slam doubles champion Mirza has just under six million.
As the endorsements continue to come her way, Raducanu's follower count will only keep shooting up.News Now - Sport News
