Everton were knocked out of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening as they were defeated by Championship outfit, Queens Park Rangers.

Charlie Austin scored the opener after 18 minutes, only for Lucas Digne to restore parity 12 minutes later.

QPR would go into the break 2-1 up after Austin netted his second of the game.

But they were pegged back once more just after half-time through Andros Townsend.

Everton were given a corner but the delivery from Andre Gomes was poor.

The Portuguese scuffed the set-piece and the ball rolled without much power towards the box.

However, QPR were unable to clear and Townsend was able to bundle the ball into the goal.

Fan footage of the goal has emerged and it shows Gomes hitting back at QPR fans.

QPR supporters mocked the midfielder after the corner was taken, assuming that it would amount to nothing.
