WWE confirmed on The Bump that Nia Jax will be out of action for an “undisclosed amount of time” following this week's episode of WWE Raw.

Jax was attacked by Shayna Baszler following their match on the show, with the former MMA fighter injuring the arm of her former tag team partner on the show.

Although the injury appears to be part of the ongoing storyline, WWE is reporting it as extremely serious on programming.

Kayla Braxton noted on The Bump that Jax was suffering from an “elbow posterior fracture” and a “dislocation to her left elbow.”

The fracture will reportedly, according to WWE, require surgery, meaning that Jax will be out of action for quite some time.

It has not been confirmed why Nia Jax is being taken off of television for the time being, or when she is planned to be making a return.

Plans are also not known regarding Baszler and what her next move will be, with a potential move into the Raw title picture on the horizon ahead of Jax's return.

Both Jax and Baszler had been working on Raw with Women's Champion Charlotte Flair over the past few weeks to build to their own match and tag team breakup. So, it would make sense for Baszler to move on to a program with the Queen of WWE from here.
