American winger Tobin Heath could make her Arsenal debut against Manchester City this weekend. The Gunners announced the signing of Heath earlier this month, securing one of the most sensational transfers of the summer.Heath is yet to feature for Arsenal so far this season, however, having spent the past two weeks in the United States playing for the national team. Journalist Tim Stillman confirmed the star has now arrived in England and is training with the Gunners today.Stillman also revealed Heath is set to be available for the squad for Arsenal’s clash against Manchester City tomorrow, although this does not guarantee she will play."Jonas Eidevall tells me that Caitlin Foord, Nöelle Maritz and Frida Maanum will be available for the game against Manchester City on Sunday," Stillman wrote. "Tobin Heath arrived today and will train tomorrow and be available for the squad, as will Jordan Nobbs."Heath already has playing experience in the Women’s Super League, spending last season with Manchester United. She was expected to return to the US after her contract with the Red Devils expired, but in an interview with Forbes, Heath revealed she could not resist the possibility of playing for her childhood club Arsenal.

"I’m a huge Arsenal fan," Heath said. "It was my first childhood club. A team that I really followed and I fell in love with at a young age.

"Obviously they have incredible history on the women’s side as well that I’m looking forward to being a part of.

"I feel like in our minds we all think our club career is going to go a certain way. In the last couple of years, a change in my plans has given me opportunities that I never thought I’d be able to get and this is one of them."

Arsenal have enjoyed an excellent start to the Women’s Super League under new manager Jonas Eidevall, defeating Chelsea 3-2 on the opening day of the season, before thrashing Reading 4-0.

Heath praised Eidevall, who was appointed in June, for his impact on the club so far.

"With Jonas we had a great first conversation, about his vision for the team, his style of play, about how he runs his practices, the things that are important to him," she said.

"You can already tell that the team is in a much different kind of mentality and frame of mind going into this season, I think, than the prior one which is credit to him coming in and implementing his ideas in a quick way.

"So, I’m really excited to get in there and see what that’s going to be like."

Arsenal’s game against Manchester City, which will be shown on Sky Sports, is considered an early battle in the title race.

Manchester City began the season well, easing past Everton 4-0, but will be looking to get their campaign back on track after a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
