Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes spurned the opportunity to rescue a point for Manchester United at home to Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon. The Portuguese midfielder is usually so reliable from the spot, but he blazed his stoppage-time penalty high over the crossbar.Villa had taken the lead minutes earlier when Kortney Hause headed Douglas Luiz’s corner past David de Gea.But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were handed a lifeline at the death when referee Mike Dean pointed to the spot. Many inside Old Trafford would have expected Cristiano Ronaldo to step up after the number of penalties he’s scored throughout his remarkable career. But Bruno took responsibility and blazed his penalty into Row Z.

The South American made sure that he got into everyone’s heads and took the opportunity to rub salt into United fans’ wounds after Bruno blazed over.
