Emma Raducanu revealed she split with her coach Andrew Richardson following her victory at the US Open.

A former Davis Cup player, Richardson coached Raducanu for two years at youth level. He linked up with the teenage star again in July on a short-term deal which covered the US Open.

Prior to Richardson, the 18-year-old had been coached for three years by Nigel Sears, who stepped aside after Raducanu reached the round of 16 at Wimbledon.

Raducanu has rocketed up the WTA rankings since her unexpected victory at the US Open. She began the Grand Slam as a qualifier ranked 150th in the world, and has now risen to world number 22.

The Briton revealed she was looking for a coach with WTA experience, although she said she did not have one in mind and would not come to a decision until the end of the season.

"I'm looking for someone who has been at that level and knows what it takes," she said. "And especially right now because I'm so new to it, I really need someone to guide me who's already been through that."

GiveMeSport Women runs through five coaches who could help Raducanu to more Grand Slam glory:

Darren Cahill

Raducanu has already been heavily linked with Darren Cahill. The 55-year-old has worked with multiple former world number ones, including Ana Ivanovic and Simona Halep.

Cahill took Halep to the top in 2017 and 2018, and helped the Romanian win the French Open. He has also worked with Lleyton Hewitt, Andre Agassi and Andy Murray.

Halep split with Cahill just last week, making the Australian coach a free agent. He fits Raducanu’s requirements perfectly, making him a favourite to be hired by the teenage talent.
