Mikel Arteta‘s side have hit a fine vein of form but face a stiff test in the form of Tottenham at the end of a week in which both clubs booked their places in the fourth round of the League Cup.

Derbies tend to be a rather exciting affair and this one promises to be no different, with two of the most popular teams in the English capital set to battle for the ultimate bragging rights.

And ahead of kickoff, GIVEMESPORT have put together a Tiermaker of the two squads to separate the best from the rest.

So without further ado, here is a ranking of every single player available to Arteta and Espirito Santo, ranging from ‘World-class’ to ‘Sell ASAP.’

Need we say any more? These players have proven time and time again that they belong in the top bracket. Proper.

Harry Kane
Heung-min Son
Kieran Tierney

Top drawer

While some Arsenal fans might question why Aubameyang isn’t included in the above category, we did say that this was going to be brutal.

If we’re being really honest, it seems like the Gabon striker is on the downward trajectory of his career.

10 goals in 23 Premier League games last season is pretty poor especially by his lofty standards.

(Editor’s note: We of course reserve the right to change this list as we see fit over the course of the season to cover our backs).

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
Bukayo Saka

Some of these players may cop an awful lot of stick from opposition fans, but they’re equally capable of pulling a rabbit out of a hat at any given time. Put some respect on their names.

Giovanni Lo Celso
Martin Odegaard
Sergio Reguilon

Neither here nor there, but somewhere in between.

In other words, players who are middle of the road, but not quite consistent enough to make it to the higher categories just yet for one reason or another.

That’s not to say they won’t, it’s just they aren’t there right now.

Dele Alli
Steven Bergwijn
Hugo Lloris
Thomas Partey
Emerson Royal
Oliver Skipp
Emile Smith-Rowe

The most popular category on the list, specifically reserved for young players who are on the cusp of/ or have broken into the first team – with a few exceptions.

Folarin Balogun
Bryan Gil
Pierluigi Gollini
Albert Lokonga
Ainsley Maintland-Niles

Can you name this obscure player?

Arthur Okonkwo
Joe Rodon
Cristian Romero
Japhet Tanganga
Nuno Tavares

Every club has them; the ones that cost a fortune, the ones the board end up paying a premium for only to turn out to be bit-part players at best, the ones that definitely aren’t worth anywhere near their Transfermarkt valuation. Some absolute shockers here, mind.

Matt Doherty
Tanguy Ndombele
Nicolas Pepe
Aaron Ramsdale
Cedric Soares
Ben White

Bang average

Despite what some of you may think, I think it’s safe to say that none of these are future Ballon d’Or winners – sorry, Arsenal fans

Ben Davies
Eric Dier
Mohamed Elneny
Gabriel Martinelli
Lucas Moura
Eddie Nketiah
Bernd Leno
Ryan Sessegnon
Granit Xhaka

In other words, the ‘deadwood’ of the transfer window fans have been complaining about for years (and rightfully so, to quote a famous phrase from Sam Matterface).

Calum Chambers
Jack Clarke
Rob Holding
Sead Kolasinac
Alexandre Lacazette
Pablo Mari
Davinson Sanchez
