Seth Rollins has revealed just how angry he was after his match at the 2019 Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event against 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt.

Speaking to Stone Cold Steve Austin on his Broken Skull Sessions show, Rollins revealed that he was "ready to strangle' WWE Chairman Vince McMahon backstage after the match.

Rollins said that TJ Wilson (formerly Tyson Kidd) had to hold him back from going at Vince McMahon after the match

I can look back on it a year and a half later, but at the time, I came through that curtain and I was ready to strangle Vince McMahon. I’m not kidding you. Tyson Kidd, TJ Wilson, was there to hold me back.

Seth Rollins told Steve Austin that he "stared right into Vince's eyes" when the pair met backstage after the show, with McMahon opting to walk out of the room.

Rollins revealed that once he'd calmed down, he approached Vince McMahon the following day at Raw to discuss how to remedy the situation.

Dude, I stared right into Vince’s eyes, you know where he sits in that chair over there. I looked at him, he looked at me. We didn’t say a single word to each other and he walked out, and I sat down with Paul Heyman, who at the time was the creative director of Raw and we had a conversation. He was ‘Paul Heyman-ing’ me if you will. The next day I went into Vince’s office and I was much calmer and I said ‘lets talk about this, we need to figure out what we are doing here because that can’t happen again’ and it was civil but it took me a night, and I was ready to go man. If somebody wasn’t there to make sure I was ok, my temper was, I mean the adrenaline.

For those that don't know, Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt ended up having what is widely regarded as one of the worst Hell in a Cell matches in history with their clash in 2019.

The bout ended up getting booed out of the building, with there being no clean or decisive finish to the match.

You can listen to Seth Rollins' Broken Skull Sessions episode right now in the US on Peacock and in all other international markets on the WWE Network.
