With the WWE Draft kicking off this week, new reports suggest that 'many' NXT stars are expected to be called up to either Raw or SmackDown.Speaking on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained members of the NXT roster are going to be brought to the main roster to "freshen up both brands". Meltzer notes that while the plans could change, NXT is currently slated to play a "significant" role in the WWE Draft, which kicks off on SmackDown this week:

“Right now, NXT is supposed to be – there’s supposed to be people drafted from NXT to freshen up both brands. The person who told me that also said, ‘This can also change completely tomorrow’, but they’re under the impression there will many people from NXT, and the NXT guys are supposed to be a significant part of it.”

This sentiment was shared by Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, who also noted that NXT is supposed to feature in the WWE Draft this week.

Zarian noted on Twitter that fans should "expect a few call ups" from members of the NXT roster to either Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown.

Neither Zarian nor Meltzer provided details or names of the NXT stars who are expected to feature in the WWE Draft and move on to the main roster.

However, names like Pete Dunne, Io Shirai, Raquel Gonzalez, Xia Li, Austin Theory and Dakota Kai have been thrown about with regards to a potential main roster call up.

As noted, the WWE Draft is slated to kick off on Friday Night SmackDown this week, continuing onto the October 4 episode of Monday Night Raw next week.
