Manchester United may have suffered back-to-back defeats against West Ham and Aston Villa in the past week but morale among Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad still appears to be good.
During the team’s training session on Tuesday, Jesse Lingard was even spotted teaching Cristiano Ronaldo how to do his ‘J-Lingz’ celebration.
Now there’s a sentence you wouldn’t have expected to read a few months ago.
It’s a huge week coming up for Man Utd following those consecutive losses in the Carabao Cup and Premier League.
Solskjaer’s side were also beaten by Young Boys two weeks ago and must secure all three points against Villarreal on Wednesday night to get their Champions League group stage campaign back on track.
One man who can’t wait for United’s fixture is Ronaldo, the Champions League’s all-time leading scorer who has netted four goals in four games since rejoining the Red Devils.
“The beautiful competition is back!” Ronaldo posted on Instagram ahead of the Villarreal game.
