Lionel Messi scored his first goal for Paris Saint-Germain against Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday night. The 34-year-old, who joined PSG after his Barcelona career ended abruptly in the summer, opened his account on his fourth appearance for his new club.Messi missed PSG’s recent wins against Metz and Montpellier through injury but returned to Mauricio Pochettino’s starting line-up for the City game. The legendary six-time Ballon d’Or winner started upfront alongside fellow superstars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe - but it was midfielder Idrissa Gueye who put the hosts 1-0 up early on at the Parc des Princes with an emphatic finish from close range.City should have equalised before half-time when Bernardo Silva somehow missed an open goal from two yards out.And Messi, despite a relatively quiet evening, popped up to score PSG’s second goal in the 74th minute - and it was well worth the wait.Check out Messi’s goal here:

What a stunning goal to open his account for PSG.
