Paris Saint-Germain emerged victorious in their huge Champions League clash against Manchester City on Tuesday evening.

After drawing their opening group game to Club Brugge, PSG couldn't really afford to lost to Pep Guardiola's side at the Parc des Princes.

It was a hard-fought match but it was PSG who won 2-0 thanks to goals from Idrissa Gueye and Lionel Messi.

Arguably the best performer in a PSG shirt was Achraf Hakimi.

The Moroccan has been sensational for the club since signing in a £60m move from Inter Milan this summer.

He was given the task of playing against City's £100m man: Jack Grealish.

But the 22-year-old passed the test with flying colours. He got the better of the Englishman all night long.

There was one moment in particular where Hakimi got the better of Grealish.

In the 53rd minute, Grealish tried to find Raheem Sterling but Hakimi cut out the pass. The two then went in for a challenge and Grealish was left on his back staring at the sky.

Hakimi's highlights from the match have been compiled by YouTuber user OUSSAMA Productions. You can watch the moment below at 1:53.

Hakimi couldn't resist posting about the moment after the game.

The 22-year-old posted an image of him leaving Grealish on the floor with the caption: "Big UCL Night."

Herve Renard, Saudi Arabia's manager, gave Hakimi his Morocco debut in 2016.

The Frenchman isn't surprised at all by Hakimi's brilliant start to life at PSG.

"No, that doesn't surprise me at all. I said that before the official games started," Renard told Goal.

"He's one of the best full-backs in the world and it's no coincidence that he's here. When you are able to score nine goals with Dortmund and seven with Inter Milan in the league, there it is, three with PSG, it is that you have immense qualities. It’s not a surprise and it is not finished surprising yet.

"Since the start of the season, he has shown a lot of qualities, but we also feel that he has a fairly large margin for improvement."

PSG made numerous big signings this summer, including Messi, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Sergio Ramos.

But the capture of Hakimi might be the best of the lot.
