Richard Riakporhe says he is itching to fight Lawrence Okolie because he wants to 'test myself against the very best.'

The Midnight Train returns to action on Saturday night in his comeback fight against Krzysztof Twardowski at the SSE Arena in Wembley.

Riakporhe, 31, will face Twardowski, 25, in a cruiserweight bout on the undercard of the October 2 BOXXER pay-per-view event headlined by Chris Eubank Jr keeping his world title ambitions alive against Anatoli Muratov.

But the Walworth-born boxer also has big ambitions of his own - such as a London derby with 'The Sauce'.

And as far as Riakporhe is concerned, there is only one possible outcome.

Despite Eddie Hearn's claims Okolie is a 'tremendous' boxer who is also blessed with 'scary' power, Riakporhe had this to say to Sky Sports: "When I came to this game, I didn't come here to make up the numbers.

"I came here to prove myself and to test myself. I want to test myself against the very best. I think it would be an amazing fight.

"Two big punchers, everyone is going to want to invest in that. Someone is going to get knocked out and it's not going to be me.

"All the fans say we want to see this fight. The fans have the power, they have the control, we perform for them.

"It's all about the demand. A lot of fans are already calling for the fight. Everybody still wants to see that fight, even though they haven't seen me for a while. It could literally be around the corner."

Lawrence Okolie stopped Dilan Prasovic in the third round on Saturday night

On the subject of facing Okolie, Riakporhe went on to explain why he is fully confident he can reach the top of the division.

"I can go all the way to the top. I think it's just a matter of time," explained the 31-year-old.

"In 11 fights, I've beat four people in the top 10 in the UK. I've won the British title, that was literally coming from no experience, not much of an amateur career.

"I literally went straight into the deep end fighting these guys, nobody has done it the way I've done it.

"So if I can achieve that in such a short period of time, imagine what I could do with that hard work and that team to guide me. There's no limits."
