Arsene Wenger is becoming more desperate to sign Eden Hazard, according to Italian website, with the Arsenal manager willing to ‘do anything’ to bring the winger on board in January.

Hazard has been attracting interest from numerous European clubs for some time, and while Wenger appeared certain to bring him to the Emirates in the summer, the deal fell through.

And now, Arsenal are planning a swoop for January, to show their intention to challenge for both Champions League and Barclays Premier League trophies.

Wenger admitted today that should the right names become available in the summer, more signings will be made to bolster the Arsenal squad, particularly with Robin Van Persie still considering his future at the club.

And Hazard is no doubt at the top of Arsenal’s transfer wishlist, with Wenger seeing the Belgium international as a big coup and a show to the side’s rivals that the Gunners are serious about breaking their trophyless spell.
