So many world-class players have plied their trade in the Premier League since its formation in 1992.But what is the greatest XI in Premier League history?That was a question tackled by former Premier League striker Darren Bent on talkSPORT earlier this week.Bent played in England's top tier for 10 years from 2005-2015, turning out for Charlton Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Fulham.The XI he chose is extremely strong despite some massive names being excluded. GK: Petr Cech
"When he was at Chelsea he was brilliant. If you said [Peter] Schmeichel I'd understand, you can go [Edwin] Van der Sar... But I think Cech. He's got the most clean sheets as well," Bent said of Cech.
LB: Ashley Cole
Bent described picking Cole as his easiest choice.
He said: "It had to be Cole. The best left-back we have ever produced."
CB: Rio Ferdinand
Bent was in no doubt about including Man United icon Ferdinand in his side.
"The hardest [player] I played against," he said of Ferdinand.
CB: Vincent Kompany
John Terry and Nemanja Vidic both missed out as Bent chose Manchester City legend Kompany instead.
"He was so difficult to play against. Slow, quick... he was instrumental in their transition to the powerhouse that they are today. You couldn't get past him," he said of Kompany.
RB: Kyle Walker
Bent went with Walker over Man United legend, Gary Neville.
The Englishman has won three Premier League titles with Manchester City. He's still going strong at 31 years old.
LM: Cristiano Ronaldo
Ronaldo needs no introduction. Arguably the best player of all-time was brilliant during his first spell at Man United.
Now 36, the Portuguese has had a fast start after returning to Old Trafford in the summer.
CM: Patrick Vieira
Vieira played 279 times in England's top tier with Arsenal, scoring 29 times. He helped The Gunners to three league titles.
"This wasn't tough. Vieira was always going to get in there," Bent said.
CM: Steven Gerrard
Bent struggled to choose Vieira's partner in midfield.
He mentioned Paul Scholes, Frank Lampard and Kevin De Bruyne but went with the 'unbelievable' Gerrard.
RM: Mohamed Salah
Bent described Salah as 'unplayable' and said he was the Premier League's best player earlier this week.
The Egyptian's numbers since joining Liverpool in 2017 are extraordinary, netting 100 goals in 151 games at the time of writing.
ST: Alan Shearer
"He has to be in there," Bent said of Shearer.
Shearer is the leading goalscorer in Premier League history with 260.

ST: Thierry Henry
Bent described Henry, as well as Shearer, as 'phenomenal'. The duo were the first two inductees into the Premier League Hall of Fame, and rightly so.
What an XI that is.
There were some controversial picks, though, with Vidic, Terry, Neville, Scholes, Lampard, De Bruyne, Roy Keane, Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney along the players that missed out in Bent's side.
