Karim Benzema was on the scoresheet once again for Real Madrid on Tuesday evening.
The Frenchman notched from the penalty spot as the Spanish giants succumbed to a shock 2-1 defeat to Sheriff Tiraspol.
That was his ninth goal of the season.
It was also his 72nd goal in Champions League history. What makes Benzema's tally so impressive that his strike against the Moldovan outfit was his first from the penalty spot in the competition.

Ronaldo leads the way with 135 goals, 14 clear of eternal rival Messi.
Both still seem to be scoring goals at will despite being 36 and 34 respectively.
The Argentine is two years younger than Ronaldo but whether he reaches his mark remains to be seen.
