Wellington Silva is set to return to Arsenal in January after failing to make an impression at Levante, it has been claimed.

The 18-year-old Brazilian forward has yet to appear Spanish outfit this season, who are flying high in second place in La Liga - level on points with Barcelona.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal will recall Wellington when his loan expires having failed to impress Granotes boss Juan Ignacio Martínez.

The teenager also spent a period at the Ciutat de València last term, but reportedly got into hot water for gorging on pizza and spending too much time on Twitter.

Wellington joined Arsenal in the summer of 2010 from Rio de Janeiro club Fluminese and has been tipped to become a star at the Emirates Stadium.

However, he has yet to live to his hype thus far and is likely to be sent out on loan again after he rejoins Arsenal in the winter transfer window.

Belgium and Portugal are reported to be potential temporary destinations for Wellington.
