Manchester United's reported interest in Ricky Van Wolfswinkel isn't a surprise, according to the player's agent.
With eight goals since his move from Vitesse during the summer, Van Wolfswinkel has endured an ideal start to life at Sporting Lisbon.
However, his form has attracted interest from United, who see him as an ideal foil for Wayne Rooney.
"Ricky is very well in Sporting and very happy with the club, the city and the supporters," his agent, Louis Laros said.
"For him everything is perfect, for me not it is not a surprise this rumour but I have not spoken with anybody.
"It is normal the kid is linked with other clubs because people watch the Portuguese Liga and as always club scouts check on the best men and today Ricky is one of the best forwards."
The likes of Nani and Cristiano Ronaldo have moved from Sporting to United in the past, leading to a decent relationship between the two clubs.
United are expected to release Michael Owen at the end of this session, while Mame Biram Diouf and Fedirico Macheda are both likely to go out on loan.
