Ahead of tonight's crucial game against Villarreal, Roberto Mancini has called on his Manchester City side to kick start their European campaign.

City currently sit third, five points behind Bayern Munich and three behind Napoli. Yet Mancini insists they can top still Group A with a win tonight.

Sergio Aguero has been passed fit to start for the home side, while in form Mario Balotelli is also available after a three-match European ban.

Manchester United are also in Champions League action tonight, with Wayne Rooney set to start against Romanian champions Otelul Galati.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side are still looking for their first win in Group C, having been held at Benfica and dropping points in a draw with Basel.

Nemanja Vidic is set to return, strengthening the Red Devils defence, but Rio Ferdinand is rested ahead of next weekend's Manchester derby.

David Beckham says his future will be based on which option gives him the best chance play for Team GB at London 2012.

Belgian international Thomas Vermaelen has signed a new contract at Arsenal that will keep him at the Emirates Stadium until 2015.

And finally, Boca Juniors vice-president Jose Beraldi has revealed he will attempt to bring Carlos Tevez back to the club in January.
