Tyson Fury has revealed his plans to weigh in at his career heaviest for his upcoming bout with Deontay Wilder.

‘The Gypsy King’ will face ‘The Bronze Bomber’ in his trilogy fight next weekend, making a comeback to the ring for the first time since February 2020.

In his last bout with Wilder, regarded as one of his best victories, Fury weighed 237lbs. Despite that, he has plans of weighing more than his previous outings.

Fury had to deal with his second exposure to coronavirus, which led to the cancellation of his bout with Wilder in July.

After recovery from the Coronavirus, Fury faced a life and death situation with his baby daughter Athena in august.

Speaking to a virtual press conference he said: "I’ve been working on it. I had COVID, I had a month off with my unwell baby."

Talking about his goals to be the career heaviest he said:

"Eating all that stuff takes a lot. I don’t know if I’m going to be at my career heaviest, but giving it to me best, best shot. Don’t worry about that. But I am certainly over 270lbs right now."

Fury's year became even tougher when his most anticipated fight against Anthony Joshua was postponed due to a ruling from an arbitrator, which made him fight against Wilder for the third time.

This fight could be affected after Joshua was defeated by Oleksandr Usyk recently.

When asked for his opinion on the Joshua fight he said:

"There's not much to assess or express, did I watch the fight? Yes, I did. Was I wounded when Usyk won? Yes, I was. I was hoping that Joshua could win the fight, but he couldn't and that's none of my business."

Fury has backed himself to secure a win against Wilder in Las Vegas and to ignore any claims or excuses given by him.

"My only concern is beating Deontay Wilder, that's the most dangerous heavyweight out there, and in my opinion, Wilder beats Joshua, Usyk, all the rest of the division comfortably, but he cannot beat me," says Fury.
