GiveMeSport TOTY Predictions
There are a host of names that are expected to be in the running to be featured in this year's infamous squad and we have made some early predictions regarding who might squeeze in.
Ruben Dias (Manchester City)
The Portuguese defender went under the radar when Pep Guardiola decided to bring him to the Etihad Stadium, but has repaid his faith by guiding his team to another Premier League title and a Champions League final in the same season. Dias will surely be in the mix.
Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund)
As mentioned above, Haaland is on fire and has been in scintillating form for some time!
His goalscoring ability appears to be faultless. At such a young age, the Norweigan striker has a bright future ahead of him.
Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid)
Despite having just missed out on last year's squad to Manuel Neuer, we believe that the Slovenian goalkeeper will be neck and neck with the German once more. Oblak played a huge part in helping Atleti secure their first La Liga title in seven years and was easily the best goalkeeper in the league. A name to watch out for.
The full Team of the Year squad for FIFA 22 will be posted here once it has been made available by EA. Keep your eyes peeled.
