Luke Hatfield reckons that there's every possibility West Brom will still be unbeaten by the end of October.

How have West Brom performed this season?

Despite the style of football under Valerien Ismael not pleasing every Baggies supporter, West Brom head into their clash with Stoke City tonight sitting top of the Championship, with the second-best defensive record and have scored the second most behind Fulham.

Besides a sticky period back in early September when they were held to three consecutive draws against Millwall, Derby and Preston, three sides they'd expect to beat quite comfortably, they've been excellent under Ismael's guidance.

They've not yet hit top form in the Frenchman's reign, but 4-0 victories against Sheffield United and then Cardiff earlier this week has already sent out a message to the rest of the Championship that West Brom mean business.

Barring a huge Bournemouth victory this weekend, another three points against the Potters tonight will ensure the Baggies head into the international break at the top of the standings.

But Hatfield reckons that the Midlands outfit can go one better and remain undefeated for at least another month.

What did Hatfield say?

When asked about their recent run, he told GIVEMESPORT: "It wouldn't shock me if in a months' time we're still talking about them being unbeaten.

"At the moment they look like a team that can grind out results, grind out draws when they need to and they're tough to score past. All the signs are good, and Ismael will be hoping that can continue with Stoke and pushing onwards."

How likely are West Brom to stay unbeaten?

Despite an international break coming up, West Brom still play five times in October as they look to continue their charge back towards the top-flight.

But it promises to be another testing period for Ismael's side, who kick the month off with a trip to Stoke, who've been impressive on home soil this season having collected 13 points from a possible 15 before facing three slightly easier games on paper against Swansea, Birmingham, and Bristol City.

West Brom's toughest test of the month and perhaps all season, though, comes when they travel to Fulham at the back end of October. Avoiding defeat at Craven Cottage and then those other four games will have the Baggies already well on their way to yet another promotion.
