West Ham United boss David Moyes currently possesses a better front three than arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur, according to journalist Paul Brown.

How have West Ham and Spurs performed so far this season?

West Ham went into the new campaign looking to build on registering the club's highest ever Premier League points tally last term.

They have made a promising start and head into tomorrow's clash with newly-promoted Brentford having tasted defeat just once since the new season got underway.

That sole loss came at the hands of Manchester United, but they would have secured a point had David de Gea not kept out Mark Noble's stoppage time penalty at the London Stadium.

Moyes' side have also progressed in the Carabao Cup, having gained revenge against Manchester United a matter of days later, and find themselves top of their Europa League group after securing back-to-back wins.

Spurs, meanwhile, made a fine start to the campaign and Nuno Espirito Santo, who was appointed as the club's new head coach in June, won the Premier League's Manager of the Month award thanks to securing three consecutive wins in August.

However, their form in the top flight has gone downhill since as they have suffered three losses on the bounce.

What has Paul Brown said about the situation?

Brown has claimed defenders will be more fearful of facing West Ham's attacking trio of Michail Antonio, Jarrod Bowen and Said Benrahma than Spurs' Harry Kane, Heung-min Son and Lucas Moura at the moment.

He told GIVEMESPORT: "Based on talent level, you would probably say that the Spurs three trump them, certainly in terms of goals, pace and what they've done over any length of time.

"But I think that West Ham's system works better for their front three than the Spurs one does at the moment.

"I think there are massive problems at Spurs, so I think West Ham are the better team right now. I think they are more well drilled, they know what the manager wants, they all look like they know their jobs, they're all carrying out the manager's instructions and it all just seems to be clicking.

"If you wanted to start a game with a three that are clicking, you'd go for the West Ham three just because they're playing in a team where everything seems to be going right at the moment."

Who has stood out for West Ham?

Antonio has scored six goals and grabbed a further four assists in his first seven appearances of the season.

The Jamaica international is currently the Premier League's joint-top goalscorer.

Only Manchester United's Paul Pogba has claimed more assists in the top flight.
