The WWE Draft began on this week's episode of WWE SmackDown, and one of the major picks of the night saw Charlotte Flair move from Raw to the blue brand.

Despite Flair being the Raw Women's Champion, she will now be officially plying her trade on the FOX Network show going forward.

According to a recent report, FOX Network specifically wanted to have the multiple-time Women's Champion be brought to the show.

Flair was taken from Raw to SmackDown as the third pick in the first round of the WWE Draft on Friday, and Raj Giri of WrestlingINC reported that FOX wanted this specifically:

"I'm working on finding out which draft picks were demanded by the networks, but I can confirm that FOX specifically asked for Charlotte Flair."

Fans had asked following the show why the likes of Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch were not part of the opening night of the Draft, and Lynch herself took to social media to confirm that she was not 'eligible' for being picked on Friday night.

“The Man is not eligible to be picked until Monday . I wanted to give people more time to put money on the table.”

It has not been confirmed if any of the other changes that took place on Friday night were specific requests from USA Network or FOX, but we will likely find out in the coming days following Monday's episode of WWE Raw.

In the third episode of the revamped Turnbuckle Talk podcast, Louis Dangoor and special guest Jon Alba review WWE Extreme Rules and talk about the Finn Balor controversy, they also break down Seth Rollins' comments on the Broken Skull Sessions on the WWE Network, and discuss Bray Wyatt potentially signing with AEW.
