Luis Suarez is one of the best players the Premier League has ever seen.

Some of the things he did during his three-and-a-half year stint at Liverpool were just ludicrous.

However, while he was a terrific player, he wound up a lot of people with his antics on the football pitch.

The Uruguayan had a reputation for being a 'diver'.

One person that did not approve of Suarez's tendency to exaggerate contact was David Moyes.

The former Everton manager slammed Suarez before a Merseyside derby in October 2012.

"Last year's one was a dive [from Suarez] and a really poor decision by the referee. It ruined the game," Moyes complained in his pre-match press conference, per the Guardian.

"He [Suárez] has got history. What it will do is turn the supporters away from football because they [players who dive] are very good at it.

"It's a hard job for the referees, it really is, but it will turn supporters away from it if they think players are conning their way to results."

A few days after Moyes' comments, the two teams met at Goodison Park.

Suarez dives in front of Moyes in 2012

Suarez would produce one of the most iconic celebrations in Premier League history after scoring in the 14th minute.

The Uruguayan made a beeline straight towards Moyes and then dived right in front of him. View the iconic celebration below:

Moyes did not react at the time and he actually said he liked the celebration after the game.

The Scotsman did, however, share his belief that Suarez should have been sent off.

"I thought it was great. I actually quite liked that - it is the sort of thing I would have done had I scored," said Moyes of Suarez's celebration, per the Daily Express.

"But I think he was a lucky man to stay on the pitch with his tackle. The one down the back of his (Distin's) leg - he's topped him, definitely."

Nine years on and Suarez is still winding up opposition managers.
