Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge wants Giovani Lo Celso sold this summer.

What's the latest news with Lo Celso?

The campaign might be less than two months old, but already it's been a familiar story for the Argentine.

His only Premier League start came against Chelsea, where he was deployed on the right, looked low on confidence and struggled to make any sort of impact in the 3-0 defeat to Thomas Tuchel's side.

He fared similarly against Wolves in the Carabao Cup last month, which has left many Tottenham supporters still wondering what the 25-year-old actually brings to the squad.

Lo Celso did show signs of improvement in the recent Europa Conference League tie against Mura, although it has to be remembered that his first goal since last December and fine assist for Harry Kane's third did come against a side that were formed only nine years ago.

But he's been mainly uninspiring since making the switch from Real Betis for £27.2m in January 2020, and whilst he's scored eight times and added five assists in more than 70 appearances across all competitions, only four of those goal involvements have come in the Premier League.

Lo Celso's case to persuade Tottenham fans that he deserves another chance in the side wasn't helped by his recent situation with Argentina, which saw him forced to miss both the Crystal Palace and Rennes matches in September – proving the final straw for Bridge.

What did Bridge say?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "Give him the ball, let's see what he can do, because if not, he can go. I want him gone anyway in the summer; this Argentina stuff left me cold."

Is Lo Celso likely to be sold?

Several Tottenham players were linked away from the club this summer, although Lo Celso wasn't one of them.

But this really does feel like a make-or-break season for many squad players, and he definitely comes into that category.

Did Tottenham Hotspur sign Moussa Sissoko on transfer deadline day in 2016?

Lo Celso's moments of quality have been shown in dribs and drabs, although with Spurs struggling badly in the final-third under Nuno Espirito Santo, there's still a chance for the 25-year-old to prove himself.

Dele Alli is a far cry from his old self, whilst Tanguy Ndombele remains underwhelming, meaning any sort of form from Lo Celso could see him step into Santo's team and finally let loose. His display in the Conference League might have only been baby steps, but it's a start.
