Mike Tyson has urged Deontay Wilder to 'go all out' ahead of his potentially-career defining trilogy fight with Tyson Fury.

Wilder suffered a stunning loss to The Gypsy King last year in front of a sold-out crowd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Fury - the former WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion - shocked the world by registering a seventh-round TKO victory over the American, a win which saw him become the WBC and Ring magazine heavyweight champion in the process.

And the boxing legend will be watching with keen interest when they face off for the third and possibly final time at the T-Mobile Arena on October 9.

“It’s going to be good," Tyson told ESNews.

"I like Wilder but is he going in to win or is he going in for a big pay day?

“Is he really going in there to win?"

Deontay Wilder has received some words of advice from Mike Tyson

Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs) has alienated himself to some boxing fans by labelling Fury 'a cheater'.

But Tyson believes he will be able to win back their respect if he goes out in a blaze of glory.

He added: “They needs [sic] to go all out for five or six rounds.

"If you catch him, you catch him. Everybody will be satisfied just going all out. Six rounds going all out, win or lose."

Wilder knows he has some work to do if he is to regain his former belt but is confident he can avenge his sole loss.

He said: “I feel great, I have a great team.

“Everybody’s just on one accord, we have a team that’s on one accord.

“The instructions are coming even clearer.

“How can you go wrong when you have so many guys on the same page?

“You’re looking for perfection. You’ll never be perfect, but that doesn’t mean you can’t practice it.

“We’re practicing to make perfect, so when I get in the ring there won’t be no questions asked.

“I won’t be going back to old habits, it’ll be right off of what we’ve been working on in this camp.

“In the end, my hand will be raised high in the sky because I knocked him out.”
