Liverpool's Mohamed Salah once again proved his immense worth yesterday with a supreme second-half performance vs Manchester City.
The Egyptian King was unplayable at times as he lapped up the glorious Anfield atmosphere to put in one of his best ever performances in the famous Liverpool red.
His assist for Sadio mane's opener was fantastic, as he skipped away on halfway, tore into the City half and then laid it on a plate with a perfectly weighted reverse ball.
It was his goal to restore the Liverpool lead though, that will live long in the memory.
Salah left a gaggle of City stars in his wake as he danced his way through to lash home from an angle with his weak foot.
It once again showed that Salah is one of the best signing's the Anfield club has ever made, but, is he the absolute best?
We that in mind, here at GIVEMESPORT we thought we would have a go at ranking the 20 best signings Liverpool have made in the Premier League era.
Liverpool's best 20 signings of the PL era
20. Stan Collymore
A bit of a rogue shout to start with, but Collymore's contribution at Anfield often flies under the radar.
He played a massive part in a transitional period for the club as Ian Rush came to the end of his career and Robbie Fowler emerged.
35 goals was a more than tidy return for the man who made 81 appearances for the club.
19. Javier Mascherano
The unsung hero of Rafael Benitez' best Liverpool team, Mascherano provided some real backbone in a side that should've won silverware.
18. John Arne Riise
Now Riise might not have been the most technically gifted star to ever grace the hallowed Anfield turf but he did win a glut of trophies during his time at the club.
Add his monstrosity of a left boot to that and you can see why he was a fan favourite on the Anfield terraces.
17. Fabinho
Liverpool were still licking their wounds following their Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid when they announced the signing of Fabinho.
He quickly established himself as the midfield rock and has been a fixture ever since in one of the best Liverpool teams ever assembled.
16. Georginio Wijnaldum
Eyebrows were certainly raised when Liverpool swooped for Wijnaldum in 2016.
However, the scenes during his farewell at the end of last season proved that, after his contributions to a Premier League title win as well as a Champions League triumph, he will go down as an Anfield great.
15. Pepe Reina
Liverpool's Spanish hero between the sticks might not have won a lot of silverware during his time at the club, but he certainly won a lot of hearts.
14. Dirk Kuyt
One of the most underrated Premier League players ever, Kuyt was a fixture at Anfield for over six years.
71 goals, including a memorable hat-trick against Manchester United earned the Dutchman cult-hero status at the club.
13. Philippe Coutinho
Coutinho was capable of setting any game alight on his day and was fiercely loved by the Kop.
His flair and skill was supreme at times but his decision to ditch the club for Barcelona just as the Klopp era was clicking into gear sees him fall a few spots on this list.
12. James Milner
Easily one of the best pieces of free business ever in the Premier League era.
Milner swapped Manchester City for Liverpool and soon become the perfect utility man. Several winners' medals have since followed making Milner a quintessential Anfield hero.
11. Andy Robertson
Widely considered to be the best left back in the league, Liverpool plucked the now Scottish captain from relative obscurity for the basement bargain price of just £8 million.
His delivery from the left is unmatched while his engine and graft are crucial to Liverpool's current style of play.
10. Sami Hyypia
Hyypia spent a very happy decade at Anfield where he built a reputation as one of the most fearsome defenders in the league.
His leadership and fierce determination saw him reserve a special place in the hearts of the Anfield faithful.
9. Alisson Becker
With the spectre of that disastrous Kiev final gloomily hovering over the club, Klopp moved swiftly to address his goalkeeping issues.
What a move it proved to be with Alisson quickly establishing himself as the best goalkeeper in the world.
8. Roberto Firmino
The Brazilian maestro tends to divide opinion outside of Liverpool circles but, within them, there is no doubting his quality.
While he might not net a copious amount of goals, his role in the recent success of the club has been just as crucial as anybody else.
7. Xabi Alonso
The definition of a Rolls-Royce midfielder, Alonso's time on the ball and incredible range of passing was unlike anything Anfield had seen before.
He was calmness personified and his partnership with Steven Gerrard was the stuff of fantasy.
6. Jordan Henderson
Many might scoff at Henderson being so high, but the man is the ultimate leader of men.
You get the feeling his teammates would run through walls for him and you simply can't argue with the fact that he has lifted a number of massive titles in recent years.
5. Sadio Mane
Mane was the star to really kickstart the Klopp era.
Liverpool fans have been in love with him ever since he followed up his worldie against Arsenal on debut by taking a piggy-back ride on Klopp.
4. Fernando Torres
Torres to Liverpool was match made in heaven.
Playing off the likes of Alonso and Gerrard, Torres would go on to score some of the most iconic goals in the Premier League era.
3. Luis Suarez
Suarez came within inches of driving Liverpool to an unlikely title in 2014.
He scored goals that no one could ever dream of scoring and dropped jaws with frightening regularity during his days in red.
2. Virgil van Dijk
Van Dijk has been absolutely revolutionary since Liverpool broke the bank for his services in 2018.
His absence from the Liverpool backline last season just proved how valuable he is to the side while his return this season has already make them look far better.
1. Mohamed Salah
There was only ever going to be one winner.
Salah has been the best player in the league for sometime now, scoring ridiculous goals at an incredible rate.
His goal against Manchester City was just one of a number of fantastic strikes as he continues to prove that Liverpool were right to give him second chance in England.
